Join 2017 / 2018

Dear MemberWelcome to the 2017/18 season. This year we will again be renewing our registration online and also encourage new members to join online. Online registration and renewal saves our club a significant amount of money as well as being environmentally friendly.

Membership fees have been set as:

  • Family of one​ $90
  • Family of two​ $180
  • Family of three​ $250
  • Family of four​ $300
  • Five or more​ $325

All members under 15 years of age must have a parent/guardian join as well.

If you renewed online last year the process is very simple:

1 Log onto Lifesaving Online https://sls.com.au/join/

2 Select either “Join” or “Create an Account”. Existing members, select Create an account. This will take you to sign in.

3 If you know your username and password, Log in and Enjoy. (Note – Members Portal has been updated and will appear different to previous years).

4 If you have forgotten your username and password, click on the prompt on the screen

5 Renew  
6 Check your details and make any necessary changes.
7 Submit
8 Click on the payment gateway and make your payment online using your credit card
It is important that payment is made at the time of renewal, we will be notified electronically once payment has been made and if are paying for a family it can be made in one amount against the first renewal. If you have members of your family with different surnames please list the names on the details section to assist us.
If you were a new member last year the process is:
1 Log onto Lifesaving Online https://sls.com.au/join/
2 Follow the steps to create your account and password
3 An email will be sent to you to confirm your registration
4 You need to click on the link sent in your email before you can continue
5 Follow the steps
6 Each member of your family will require a new username, although you can use the same password.
7 Click on the payment gateway and make your payment online using your credit card
If you are experiencing difficulties with the online portal please contact the Surf Lifesaving Australia help desk. The friendly help desk staff are available 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday. They can be contacted on 1300 724 006.
Registration days for new members only will be held on Saturday 2/9/17 and Saturday 9/9 between 9am and 11am. This year there will also be a Sunday registration day on 17/9/17 between 10am and 12 noon. All Registrations will take place at Shelly Beach Surf Club.
Please share this information with your friends as we would welcome new members (nippers, seniors, masters and patrolling) to our club.

If you are unable to renew online or do not have a credit card, assistance can be provided at the surf club during the registration days on 2/9/17, 9/9/17 and 17/9/17.

All renewals must be completed by Friday 22 September 2017 to ensure you are covered by insurance for patrols and beach activities. Patrols commence 23 September 2017.

Call for nominations – Junior Perpetual Awards

JUNIOR PERPETUAL AWARDS – 2016/ 2017 – Call for Nominations
Any member of the Shelly Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is eligible to nominate a nipper for a perpetual award. The aim of the perpetual awards is to encourage, recognise and reward nippers for their efforts.
Nominations will be accepted on nomination form which has been sent via email to all members. Hard copies will be available at nippers from the sign on desk.
The closing date for nominations is 7pm Monday 6/3/17.
Your participation and input is greatly appreciated.

Volunteers Needed Please

We have a number of upcoming fundraising events that need volunteers. If you can help please contact Wendy on 0420 435 172 or visit the BBQ table during nippers to add your name to a roster.

Shelly Beach Markets BBQ – Saturday 28 January from 6.30am to 2.30pm. This is being organised by the seniors, though assistance from any member would be welcome.

Annual Bunnings BBQ – Saturday 4 February from 8am – 4pm.

Shelly Beach Markets BBQ – Saturday 25 February from 6.30am to 2.30pm. Anyone who has not fulfilled the required comp levy hours will be rostered on this day.

Under 12 & 13 – 22/1, Under 11 – 29/1, Under 10 – 12/2, Under 9 – 19/2, Under 8 – 26/2.
